Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

White Giant Calla Lily. This incredible Calla Lily is absolutely awesome and will reach 7' with good moisture and fertility. We know it is at least zone 7b for cold hardiness. It is hard to describe its majesty when in full flower with its giant white funnels which will also make excellent cut flowers. It has repeat bloomed for us all summer, but the spring rush is the best. In colder climes, one can use it as a large container plant and when it gets below the mid to low 20's, move it into the garage or just bring it into the house until spring. If given enough light, it will flower inside through the winter. This is a great perennial for wet areas, and the more sun the better the flower production. One of our dear customers, Mrs. Overton, had Calla Lilies growing in her garden here. This really shocked me, as I thought that they were more tropical in nature, until one of our clients mentioned that she used them in containers on her patio and the pots were left out all winter. This finally convinced me.
