Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Autumn Glow Toadlily. I was given this selection in Japan by a fellow nurserymen there. Tricyrtis rarely have attractive foliage when they flower in late summer and fall, but this selection has the best looking foliage that I have ever seen this late in the season with bold gold borders on extremely large leaves with each stem topped with orchid-like  purple speckled flowers.  It is quite vigorous reaching up to 30" in height and will truly be a great addition to any shade garden. The friend in Japan gave me this selection with no name, so we first named it 'Sunny Borders,' but now we know it to be 'Autumn Glow.' If you bought 'Sunny Borders' in the past, it is the same cultivar.
