Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Oriental Sarcococca. A plant of outstanding qualities, this species has the largest leaves of the genus. Shiny, black-green leaves are almost large enough to make a textural statement in the shade garden. Probably the showiest Sarcococca in flower with the same apetalous white flowers as the genus, but larger than others, starting to flower here in December, followed by shiny black fruit. The ultimate size looks to be in the 3' range, which makes it a great size for the smaller gardens. You will definitely like this plant. China.
