Golden Treasure Yellow berried Sarcandra. The Japanese refer to this plant by the more correct name of Chloranthus glabra, but we in the West mostly go by the name Sarcandra glabra. This cultivar has bright golden/orange/yellow berries in terminal panicles. I have seen this berry type many times as seedlings, but this is the first time that I had seen it offered as a named cultivar. As with the species it needs to be grown with complete shade. It has all of the great characteristics of the previous listing. The brightly colored berries actually stand out more in the shade than the red berried selection. The Cloisture on Sea Island, GA, says that this is the finest plant that grows well under the old Live Oaks surrounding this five star resort.
