Snow Carpet Rose. This is a delightful groundcover type rose which has proven evergreen for us here in zone 8. It makes a thick mat of foliage 6-8 inches deep with glossy green leaves and 1.5" diameter double, mildly fragrant, white flowers. We have never seen either mildew or black spot on the leaves. This plant can spread up to 4' or more. It makes an excellent groundcover for full sun to part shade. One can space them 36" on center for a good cover in 2-3 years. This was formerly a patented rose whose patent expired in 2001.
