Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Fukurin Kadsura Vine. This selection of this great evergreen vine has a cream-yellow irregular marginal variegation with a lighter green in the center of the leaf. Actually the cultivar name "Fukurin" in Japanese infers a marginal variegation. As with all in this genus, it climbs by twining, hence one must provide the appropriate trellis or arbor on which it can take hold. It is best planted in shade to filtered sun, so that one will not experience winter burn. Older plants will produce cream-yellow flowers which develop in to rather large translucent red berries if it is a female selection. Since I have never seen this cultivar produce flowers, I am not sure what sex it is. This also makes a great container plant as well as in ground vine for a trellis or fence.
