Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Green Giant Solomon's Seal. This shade perennial Solomon's Seal may remain evergreen in its lower realms, and it will reach a height of 4'+ with clusters of small white flowers at the terminus of each branch. These will be followed in the winter with black berries which may persist to spring. For the tidiest appearance, it is best to cut it to the ground in late winter so all of the quickly emerging new growth can be displayed without interference from last years spent stems. It prefers uniform moisture in the shade garden with some organic matter in the soil. This plant was first introduced by Dan Hinkley of Heronswood Nursery in 2005 which he found in the Sichuan Province of China.
