Baker's Evergreen Solomon's Seal. This is a true evergreen Solomon's Seal with thick glossy green leaves on stems up to 15" and white bell-like flowers in spring. The flowers resemble those of the deciduous Solomon's Seal in the genus Polygonatum. One small sprig in our garden has spread to a 2' wide patch in 5 years. This plant makes an impressive tall evergreen groundcover in shade in humus rich soils with adequate moisture. One of our customers, a landscape architect in Atlanta, says that this is the best ground cover in existence. It can get so think that it will truly suppress almost any weed. This is an incredibly easy-to-grow plant. Native to China.
