Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Gold Rider Leyland Cypress. This is probably one of the top five golden conifers. It is so brilliant, that it's difficult to imagine. And because it is so gold, it is a very slow grower. So it would make an excellent accent container plant in full sun as well as planting it in the landscape. Because it is such a slow grower, it would be better treated as a medium to large shrub. In cooler climates it will grow much faster than for us. Give it good drainage and only moderate moisture. Absolutely no wet feet.
