Little Ruby Dogwood. This incredible new selection comes from the breeding work of Dr. Tom Ranney of NCSU and is a multi-specific hybrid. The new growth is a brilliant maroon red throughout the growing season and the fall color is a bright maroon for several months. Here in the Deep South it is almost evergreen. The flowers are a deep pink and semi-double with a few extra petals in the center. It can be grown as a large compact shrub or a small tree.
