Due to the winter weather, orders from these states will ship in the spring, April to May: CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, NH, NV, OR, SD, UT, VT, WA, WI, WY. And due to the extreme cold and wind which we experienced through the Christmas holidays of December 2022, many Osmanthus varieties won't be shipped until we are assured there is no cold damage. This may be as late as April or May, 2023. We may choose to delay shipping other plants as well.

Two Leaf Lion Tongue Fern. This rare cultivar of the Asian Tongue Fern has a multi-branched leaf which flares out somewhat like an elk's antler. These ferns are amazingly cold hardy, doing well from zones 7b to 10. If grown in a container, they do best in a loose and open soil mix similar to an orchid mix. Their roots are quite shallow, which if kept in a high enough humidity, they can be grown on a bark slab. In the wild this genus is epiphytic, growing on tree trunks or over rocks. If grown in a wire basket, it will shortly look like a small staghorn fern which can be left outdoors for much of the winter (see the picture below). Give them shade with uniform moisture if grown in the landscape. Quite impressive!
