Fukurin Kadsura Vine. This selection of this great evergreen vine has a cream-yellow marginal variegation with a lighter green in the center of the leaf. Actually the cultivar name "Fukurin" in Japanese infers a marginal variegation. As with all in this genus, it climbs by twining, hence one must provide the appropriate trellis or arbor on which it can take hold. It is best planted in shade to filtered sun, so that one will not experience winter burn. Older plants will produce cream-yellow flowers which develop in to rather large translucent red berries if it is a female selection. Since I have never seen this cultivar produce flowers, I am not sure what sex it is. This also makes a great container plant as well as in ground vine for a trellis or fence.
