Bowles' Golden Sedge. This versatile sedge is one of the easiest to grow with its brilliant gold foliage with narrow bright green margins for part to full shade. After frost its blades turn all yellow. It is also an excellent plant to use where one has a site with wet feet. The leaves can get to 18 inches plus in height with an equal spread. The flower is totally inconspicuous. It works in the landscape planting in mass or as single clumps, as well as using it as an accent in a combination planter.
