Mine-no-yuki Sasanqua. This old Sasanqua cultivar is one of the more popular white selections grown in the South. The flowers are a pure white double to semi-double on a form which starts out rather spreading in growth habit. As it gets larger, the plant becomes as broad as high. It is a great subject to espalier on a wall, particularly if the background is dark in color, such as red brick. As with most Sasanquas, they will tolerate full sun if given adequate moisture in drought periods, but it is quite drought tolerant once established. But light-wise, they are probably happiest when grown in part sun or morning sun and afternoon shade.
