Colonel Fiery Camellia. When one likes formal flowers, this is the one for you. This vigorous old cultivar has dark rose-red formal flowers which are very large in size. With these formal shaped flowers, there is not a hint of a stamen or pistil. It flowers from February to April. Its leaves are quite large and create a great foil for the large formal double flowers. As with all Camellias, it does best in filtered sun or morning sun and afternoon shade.
