Leprechaun Dwarf Swamp Leucothoe. "WOW!" is the best way to describe this dwarf. I truly think that this will become one of the more popular of our native shrub cultivars in the next few years. This plant is just a miniature of the species which will only reach 3-4 feet at maturity. Incredibly, it flowered in its second year with miniature racemes of its parent, with white lily-of-the-valley like flowers. A great compact shrub for full sun to shade. It is listed as hardy from zones 7-9, but with protection, I think one could grow it in 6b.
