Getty White Lily-of-the-Nile. There is probably not a better hot summer perennial for the Deep South than this genus. It thrives in full sun with good drainage. And there is nothing more refreshing in our 100 degree heat than the cool blues and whites of Lilies-of-the-Nile. This is a white flowering stain that comes fairly true from seed with flower stalks of 2-3 ft. As with all Agapanthus they prefer an almost neutral pH and they appreciate an annual application of dolomitic lime, since the genus is native to South Africa. Grow in full sun and leaves will remain evergreen down to the mid-20's (-5°C)
