Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Margarita Abelia. This is a new golden variegated Abelia from Clark's Liner Farm in North Carolina. Its leaves have bright golden yellow margins with red stems. The flowers are the typical white tubular which are characteristic of the species. Grow it in full sun for the most tidy plants as shade will create a loose airy plant. Another great characteristic about this cultivar is that it is not prone to send up wild shoots. I saw a picture of a 12 year old plant and it was about 18-24" tall with a 4' spread.
