Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Shoal Creek Chastetree. This is one of the finest summer flowering shrubs or small trees around. And this variety has one of the best floral displays of the species. Good rich blue spikes of up to 12" from June to September. When allowed to grow on its own, it develops a picturesque contorted branch structure that makes it a focal point even in the winter. Foliage is distinctly aromatic which keeps deer at bae, and it has a bluish-green cast. Native to southern Europe. Vitex has the common name "Chastetree" since Athenian women used the leaves in their beds to keep themselves chaste during the feasts of Ceres.
