Due to the winter weather, orders from these states will ship in the spring, April to May: CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, NH, NV, OR, SD, UT, VT, WA, WI, WY. And due to the extreme cold and wind which we experienced through the Christmas holidays of December 2022, many Osmanthus varieties won't be shipped until we are assured there is no cold damage. This may be as late as April or May, 2023. We may choose to delay shipping other plants as well.

Viburnum tinus ‘Spirit’Laurustinus Viburnum makes a great winter interest plant with its prominent pink buds throughout the winter, followed by white flowers in late winter, then deep blue berries for fall and winter. It can do well in part to full sun. We started growing 'Spirit' several years ago and we like it better than any other cultivar that we have found. We don't get the leaf scorch from early fall frosts like we did with 'Spring Bouquet.' Anytime we can get winter interest in a plant, this helps shorten this depressing time of year for me. And to be able to walk outside and see the bright pink flower buds just itching to open is invigorating. The first warm few days in January will see flowers popping. I think zone 7b would do fine, but 7a might be pushing it for the range of this plant.
