Due to the recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

This selection has the same "soft" foliage as the species. It has a slight bluish sheen to its foliage and flowers in the fall with 6-8" spikes of yellow flowers which gives the effect of a spray of fireworks. These are followed by small blue berries is late winter and early spring. This is a larger version of 'Soft Caress'™ which can reach 4', but is easily kept smaller. It grows best in morning sun and afternoon shade or filtered sun. When we dropped to single digits in the winters of 2013-14 and 2014-15, we had no burning on its leaves as we experienced with 'Soft Caress'®.
