Dwarf Procumbens Juniper. This is one of the more quaint Junipers to use as a groundcover. It is a true "ground hugger," and it is great to use cascading over a wall. It has a bluish caste to the foliage, and contrary to what it appears, it is a faster spreader than one might think. In addition, this plant is a natural for bonsai. We probably sell as many of these to bonsai beginners as we do to landscapers. Even with very little pruning, one can create a "wind swept" old tree look. Grow in full sun to part shade with good drainage.
