Golden Pacific Shore Juniper. This is a Shore Juniper with a bright gold color. It is somewhat more compact than the species, and only a little larger than 'Blue Pacific.' Some who have seen it say that this is the most beautiful Juniper that they have ever seen. Even though Shore Juniper will tolerate a large amount of shade, for best color, one should grow this cultivar in full sun and in a soil with good drainage. Since it is native to the sea shores of Japan, it is tolerant of salt spray. In the pictures, one can see the contrast between this cultivar and 'Blue Pacific.' By planting them near one another, one can see a more beautiful contrast.
