Double-flowering Primrose Jasmine. I found this selection of Primrose Jasmine at a small specialty nursery near Nagoya, Japan. I was expecting it to be more double that it is, but it is still a good hose-in-hose flower form. The flowers are a bright yellow which begin to open here in mid February and extend through March. It is just as prolific in growth as the species. Full sun to part shade gives the best bloom. When one has a large slope that needs a groundcover that gets so deep that it will smoother most other woody seedlings, this would be a great selection.
