Southern Gentleman Male Pollinator Deciduous Holly. This variety has deep green shiny leaves and is a great pollinator for 'Winter Red', 'Red Sprite' and 'Sunset,' plus many others. It flowers over a long period, hence it is a very effective male pollinator for many varieties. It is a large and fast growing selection, up to 9'. The deciduous hollies do well in full sun to part shade, and they are not particular as to soil, as long as they are not standing in water. One plant can easily pollinate ten or twelve females.
