Red Sprite Winterberry. This is one of the most compact of the deciduous hollies reaching a height of only 2-4'. Extremely large berries makes for a dazzling display. There is hardly a more impressive winter show than a bed of these hollies. 'Jim Dandy' is the best pollinator. The deciduous hollies do well in full sun to part shade, and they are not particular as to soil, as long as they are not standing in water. Even then, one might notice plants in the wild actually growing in water.
