O. Spring Chinese Holly. The yellow margin variegated leaves have a silvery-green center on this male cultivar. I think this was introduced by Tom Dodd of Mobile, AL some years ago, and it is not "Oh spring!", it is named for a gentlemen that he knew. If you are a variegated plant freak, you will definitely want this plant. One is enough to accent a mixed border. It can get up to 10' in height with a 6' spread. I have seen it growing in full sun with no leaf burn, but it does quite well in fairly heavy shade. The leaf shape is the same as the species with its 7 or so vicious spines.
