Quick Fire® Panicle Hydrangea. This cultivar doesn't have the largest panicles, but once the flowers open, they turn pink almost immediately. It has extremely good vigor and could be easily trained into a small tree. The "Peegee" type Hydrangea do best in full sun. So this is a welcome trait to those who don't have enough shade to grow the "macrophylla" types. Another note is that they flower on current seasons wood, so one can prune them back heavily each spring to induce more succulent growth which results in larger flower heads.
