Miss Jilene Althea or Rose of Sharon. This is a compact growing Althea with white margined variegated leaves. The semi-double flowers are pink with a wine center. This is a most attractive plant either in the landscape or as a container plant. As with all Altheas, one should plant them in at least a half day of full sun or more and give them good drainage. These are tough plants which can even be grown by someone without a green thumb.
