Common Witchhazel. Our native Witchhazel makes a large spreading multi-stemmed shrub or small tree of an immense size (up to 30') in the wild, but I have seen fairly mature plants here that were  8-10' wide with only a 6' height. The most endearing quality of this plant is its spidery, yellow, fragrant flowers in the fall. Since these are mostly grown from seed, some plants will flower with foliage, while others will flower after its leaves have fallen, making these flowers far more visible. Some clonal selections need to be made. It is becoming far more popular as a native naturalizing shrub than in the past. Fall color is a not too overly exciting yellow.
