Fatshedera. This plant is unusual in that it is a hybrid between two separate genera, Hedera (ivy) and Fatsia. The foliage is similar to Fatsia, with leaves 6-10" across. It is a floppy shrub-vine which makes a great textural accent against a wall or fence. It does best with some shade, or one may get sun burn on its foliage. This plant even makes a great house plant because of its tolerance of low light conditions. It flowers in the fall with terminal panicles of white powder-puff-like flowers which appear to miniatures of Fatsia flowers. It is of garden origin.
