Argenteo-variegata Boxwood. A stunning marginal white variegated foliage on a slow growing plant, makes for a real eye-catcher in part sun to shade. One of the more easily grown and better variegated plants that we grow. From a distance, this plant appears to be a mound of silver. This plant makes a stunning feature anchor in a mixed container with annuals or perennials. It is amazing, but this cultivar is listed in a catalog from the now defunct Pomaria Nursery of Newberry, SC from the early 1800's. Some of the photos show how this plant can be trained if one has the time and patience, into cones or pyramids. There is a similar cultivar, 'Elegantissima', with white marginal variegation, and I would love for someone to show me the difference. I have purchased both cultivars, and they all look identical to me. So I would never swear that this is not 'Elegantissima'. So we are selling this with that understanding. It is amazingly vigorous, even surpassing the all green species. Give good drainage with uniform moisture. Not as drought tolerant as Buxus microphylla. The last picture is a plant similar to what you will receive.
