Culver's Root. This native perennial is one of the most dramatic that one can grow. Its 4-5' unbranched stalks are topped with long spikes of white Veronica-like flowers in early to mid summer. One should deadhead to prolong the flowering season. It is best used in the back of a perennial border, in meadow or naturalized gardens. This plant will make a dramatic statement in any perennial border.
