Adams Fruiting Elderberry. Our native Elderberries are some of the most sought after fruiting plants for their nutritional value. Elderberries are not meant to be eaten fresh, but must be properly prepared to give their nutritional juice, syrup, jellies or wine. This is a superior selection which has extremely large clusters of flowers and fruit. Elderberries are some of the easiest of all fruit to grow. Give them full to part sun and adequate moisture. This selection can get up to 8-10 ft. tall with an equal spread. Always plant two or more varieties for cross pollination as Elderberries are "self-infertile."
