Dharuma Panicle Hydrangea. This selection of the panacled Hydrangeas is by far the dwarfest of all of the selections which I have seen. Even though the flowering panicle is not as large, it makes up for this with its charm. I have see a plant grown in full sun that is broader than high. And much like the cultivar 'Praecox', it flowers early on old wood, not new wood as most "paniculatas" do. We have these in very limited numbers, but we will be building up more shortly. It can be grown in full sun to part shade, and I have even seen plants growing in part shade have just as many flowers as those in full sun.
