INCREDIBALL® Smooth Hydrangea. This selection is like an 'Annabelle' on steroids. The flower heads will reach the size of a volley ball, but unlike 'Annabelle,' the stems are so stout that the flowers remain upright. The breeding goal here was to develop stems that would not flop and as a result there was a double whammy, strong stems and huge flower heads. You will love this cultivar. As with all H. arborescens, one should grow in shade and remember, they can be cut back heavily each spring as they flower on current season's wood. This will induce larger flower heads.
