Joe's Snow Flurry Althea or Rose of Sharon. This plant is a seedling selection of one of my longest employees, Joe Henderson. Joe has been with us since he was 14, and he is a wonderful plantsman. He loves growing from seed to see what he can find new, and this is one of his seedlings. It comes out with beautiful almost white foliage in spring which begins to green as the heat of the summer progresses. Then it produces huge clear white single flowers. It is amazingly vigorous, and I'm sure that it will make a standard size plant for this species in the 10-12 ft. range.
