Curly Bush Ivy. This is the most compact cultivar of this genus. It has small "curly" leaves which have a narrow white margin. It prefers the same growing conditions of the others with shade and good drainage. This genus is a cross between English Ivy, Hedera helix, and the well know shade shrub Fatsia japonica. The original hybrid was found in a garden in Nantes, France in 1910. It doesn't seem to be as "viney" as the species because it is more stocky and shrubby. It makes an excellent indoor houseplant in climes too cold to grow outside. Needs part to full shade and also does well as a house plant.
