Nikko Slender Deutzia. The first time I saw this plant in flower I was totally captivated with its charming form: small shrub and delicate white flowers. The size in 10 years will probably be 2-3’ with an equal spread. This is the queen of Deutzias in my estimation. Best grown in full sun to part shade, and personally, I think in the heat of the Deep South, it appreciates some reprieve from direct all day sun. So morning sun and afternoon shade are ideal. The photos were taken of a planting at the Atlanta History Center on West Paces Ferry.
