Sekan Sugi Japanese Cedar. This is probably my favorite Cryptomeria, but that's kind of like picking your favorite child. The new growth in the spring is a soft cream-yellow which will bathe the whole plant in soft pastel hues and then fades to green when temperatures get over 90 degrees. It is a vigorous grower reaching 20' in ten years. Japan uses this species as one of its principle timber trees. Many 900 year old wooden structures still stand that were made from the lumber of these trees. The last picture is the size plant we are shipping.
