Summer Frost Asiatic Jasmine. On my first trip to England in 1995, I discovered this plant in a small nursery in the south of the country. It was labelled 'Tricolor' with its splashed pink, cream and white growing tips. And typically we plant this species in part to full shade here in the Deep South, but we found that when planted in what approximates full sun, the new growth puts on a dazzling display of nearly white new growth. The only drawback that we have found with this gem is that rabbits like to eat it as much as we like to view it. So if you are in rabbit country, get a good hound. You will be stunned at the beauty of a bed of this selection. One may also find this selection sold under the trade marked name of 'Snow n' Summer'® or 'Snow Rose.' But rest assured, it is the same plant.
