Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle. This selection was developed by crossing our native Lonicera sempervirens and L. hirsute. The foliage more resembles that of L. sempervirens, but this selection is much more cold-hardy. The flowers are more of an orange-red, not a true red and it can flower from May to as late as October-November. The first flush of flowers will be the heaviest and most showy. This is also considered the most hardy of the vining Honeysuckles. It is ideal for growing on fences, arbors or even can be used as a deep groundcover. It will take sun to filtered sun.
