Due to the winter weather, orders from these states will ship in the spring, April to May: CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, NH, NV, OR, SD, UT, VT, WA, WI, WY. And due to the extreme cold and wind which we experienced through the Christmas holidays of December 2022, many Osmanthus varieties won't be shipped until we are assured there is no cold damage. This may be as late as April or May, 2023. We may choose to delay shipping other plants as well.

Mexican Lily. This Mexican native has soft yucca-like leaves which are not at all lethal. The leaves are a shiny green and up to 3' long and 2-3" wide with pendulous tips. Flowers are produced on a 6-7' branched scape with red flowers tipped in green. Occasionally, one can see Passiflora-like fruit along the stems. When it flowers, the old parent plant dies but then puts up 4-6 "pups" around its base. These will then flower in about 2 years to repeat the process. Because of the feral goat population destroying them in Mexico, it can only be found in some of the most inaccessible mountainous areas. We have found  that It seems to appreciate some shade in the Deep South and amazingly will flower quite well in rather dense shade.
