Heart Throb Rainlily . This is one of the brighter pinks of the rainlilies with its 2 in. flowers atop a 6 in. stem with a white eye It is darker on its first day and somewhat lighter on its second day. It is a hybrid between Zephyranthes drummondii from the famed 'Labuffarosea' strain of Yucca Do nursery near Houston, TX. It will start to flower from mid-summer intermittently on to fall. As with all of the Zephyranthes, grow it in more sun for heavier bloom. This selection doesn't multiply as rapidly as some, but it's well worth the wait for its stunning display. The second picture is courtesy of Mike Chelednik showing the lighter color on day two. The last picture is courtesy of Scott McMahan of the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
