Heart Throb Rainlily . This is one of the brighter pinks of the rainlilies with its 2 in. flowers atop a 6 in. stem with a white eye. It is darker on its first day and somewhat lighter on its second day. It is a hybrid between Zephyranthes drummondii from the famed 'Labuffarosea' strain of Yucca Do Nursery near Houston, TX. It will start to flower from mid-summer intermittently on to fall. As with all of the Zephyranthes, grow it in more sun for heavier bloom. This selection doesn't multiply as rapidly as some, but it's well worth the wait for its stunning display. The first picture is of a quart pot which had been left in a dry area, but in early August, after a heavy rain on Saturday, this is what the pot looked like on Tuesday.
