Due to recent discovery of the spotted lanternfly in South Carolina, California has restricted the shipment of plants from SC as well as 15 other states in which the spotted lanternfly had already been found. It was found over 100 miles from Nurseries Caroliniana, but the whole state has been put under quarantine until a treatment protocol can be worked out to resume shipments to California. Authorities hope that this can be accomplished by the end of the month.

Dwarf Mondo Grass. Only 3" high, this miniature evergreen Monkey-grass makes one of the classic groundcovers for small areas. From a distance it looks like green velvet. Divide the clumps and sprig on 3" centers and in a couple of years one will have a majestic carpet. When kept properly watered, this cultivar will tolerate full sun, and we have found that it divides faster in sun than in dense shade. Occasionally, one can find bright blue berries embedded in the foliage. As one can see from the photos, it is great for filling in between stepping stones, but it will not tolerate heavy traffic if it is constantly walked on.
