Winning Ways Daylily. My love affair with this cultivar is long. In 1963 I put my meager allowance together to pay $50 for a single division of this plant. That would be close to $300 in todays dollars. It has what I consider the most perfect shaped flower in the Daylily world. Back then, it got all of the awards that I think a Daylily could amass. It has a 30-36" scape with soft yellow flowers. Awesome! And as with all daylilies, the flowers are edible. A salad garnished with daylily flowers is stunning. Just make sure you don't use any pesticides on your plants if you intend to eat them. Daylily blooms have a slightly peppery lettuce flavor. Eat them in bud or after opening.
