PeeDee Gold Ingot Liriope. Pee Dee Gold Ingot is the work of South Carolina plants-lady Ursula Herz, one of our regular customers. It emerges in the spring with bright golden-yellow foliage which slowly hardens off to a bright gold or chartreuse if grown in bright light. When it flowers in early to mid summer the bright foliage is a perfect foil for the purple flower spikes. Wow! For a Liriope lover like me, this plant is awesome. It is shown off in its best light when massed next to a green-leaf cultivar of another Liriope. It is amazingly vigorous for something with this much gold foliage. Remember, our plants are in 3 quart pots, twice or more the size of other mail order suppliers. One can get a number of divisions from each pot.
