Monroe White Liriope. 'Monroe White' is a stunning white flowering form of this genus, especially when planted in deep shade. It appears like little white candles emerging from the carpet of green foliage. Do not plant this cultivar in the sun as the foliage will burn. It is definitely a perennial for shade. If you have a sunny sport and want a white flowering Liriope, one needs to go to Liriope muscari 'Traebert's White.' I have seen Monroe White growing on Long Island, NY, and it was exceptional. One can get a number of divisions from these containers.
