Disney Ginger. 'Disney' Ginger will capture your imagination with its bright salmon-orange terminal torches of small geometrically arranged flower heads in late summer and fall. I particularly like this form because the leaves are slightly smaller than the species and the stalks will get to 4-7' in height and don't need any staking. It is quite vigorous and a single plant will make a good clump by fall. It is not fragrant, but more than makes up for this with its dramatic floral display. It is one of the first gingers to come out in the spring and also has great ground hardiness, taking temperatures well into zone 7.
