Big Bob Hardy Chinese Ground Orchid. This relatively new selection is a very prolific bloomer and it is reported to have flower stalks to 36 inches tall, but in the Southeast most are reporting heights of 18-20 inches. But it is still worth growing for its prolific flowering habit. I cooler climates it does well in full sun, but here in the southern heat of the Deep South it is best grown in filtered sun, or part shade. Morning sun would be ok. It likes high organic soils with uniform moisture.
